First Hosted Event!

We hosted the first event thanks to American's donating to our Nation's heroes! We have put a lot of work into creating a slice of heaven on earth. Veterans spent time walking through the woods, watching Ranger TV (Fire pit), Duck hunting, and amazing duck blind fairytales. We met some awesome people and had a phenomenal time. Special shout out to Army Veteran Chris Krause (Oak Creek Retrievers) for guiding and mentoring us vets. Not to mention providing unapparelled hunting dogs to fetch our birds. Thank you for having me out to take part in my first duck hunt. I greatly appreciate the peacefulness, serenity, and ease of mind you provided.  I am proud to call you a friend and a brother.  I look forward to seeing the growth and development of Camp Comrade and I pray for its success.

Fun and enjoyable time to hang out with people and reconnect with nature. Hanging around the fire and the conversation is relaxing and heartfelt. I recently gained a nickname "STUMPY" for shooting a tree and a duck, not once, but twice! It is always a pleasure talking in the duck blind and around the fire because people are relaxed and don't feel judged. I would like to volunteer and assist Veterans on their first hunt or just so they can get their prize game without worries!
